BROWN COUNTY: CONTINUED FROM PREVIOUS PAGE

Thomas began searching the racing surface for some way to pass Arment. The duo caught lapped traffic with only six to go and it was the opening Thomas needed, driving by Arment with only two laps to go. Thomas fended off Arment’s final-lap charge to score his second Big Buck title. Behind Arment, Konold, 11th-starter Mike Stearns and 10th-starter Rodin finished in the top five.

The WISSOTA Super Stocks hit the track next, represented by 17 drivers set for battle. A pair of young guns in Bryson North and Kaden Kampa brought the field to green, with North grabbing the lead. Caution once again struck on lap two, however, and the field regrouped.

Trevor Nelson was all over North following the restart, throwing sliders every lap, but North’s momentum up top kept him in the lead. On lap five Nelson threw another slider but made contact with North out of turn four; the contact sent Nelson spinning and drew a caution, sending Nelson to the tail.

Back under green Mark Abeln trailed North, waiting for a moment to move by, but North was smooth up top. As North began to open a lead on Abeln and Jeremy North, Nelson found his way back into fourth. As caution struck on lap 15, which led to a restart where Abeln went off of turn one.

The field was reracked with Bryson in the lead, and Jeremy North and Nelson were right on his bumper. Nelson had his left front tire going down as he battled for second. Out front Bryson North checked out and won his first-ever feature in a big way! His dad, Jeremy, came home second with Nelson, Austin Arbogast and Stewart Schipke rounding out the top five.

The WISSOTA Late Models had 28 drivers in pits, with only 24 making the 30-lap, $3000-to-win show. Thomas Weisgram and Tyler Peterson brought the field to green with Weisgram leading the opening lap as caution struck on lap two.

On the restart, the lead trio of Weisgram, Peterson and Chad Becker pulled away from the field. By lap eight they were in lapped traffic, and Peterson used the opportunity to gain the lead. Becker followed as he battled Peterson for the top spot throughout traffic. The traffic got really heavy for the leader on lap 11; lapped cars checked up in front of leaders and made Peterson get into a lap car, sending him spinning. He drew a caution and was sent to the tail.

Following a multi-car pileup on the restart, the second attempt went smoother and Becker pulled away. Arment moved into second and began to rail the top, chasing Becker. The lead duo found traffic again with 12 to go, allowing Trevor Anderson to close in. A caution struck with six to go and the field was regrouped.

On the final restart, Anderson challenged on the inside but Becker and Arment both got by with ease up top. Arment searched to get by Becker, but didn’t have enough. Becker went on to win his fifth feature at BCS this year. Arment, Mike Stearns, Josh Skorczewski and Anderson rounded out the top five.

INEX Legends rolled out with 21 drivers on hand. The race was a really good one between Noah Madler and Preston Martin, as they battled for several laps. In the end Martin moved through lapped traffic more effectively to score the win.
