FERGUS FALLS, MN (September 11) - Curt Myers came one step closer to putting the bow on his memorable 2025 race season - one that he said in victory lane will be his last - with a Qualifying Feature victory in the WISSOTA Super Stocks at the Speedway Motors WISSOTA 100 Thursday night.

Carson Miller and Andrew Hedtke led the field of 24 to the green flag for their 15-lapper. Hedtke had the initial advantage, as Myers moved from fourth to second past Miller. A caution for Trevor Nelson, who was turned into the wall and then came to a rest in corner one, slowed the field.

Hedtke was immediately under fire from Myers back under green, but another caution kept the field under yellow. With the green out, Myers drove by Hedtke into the lead, as Tim Johnson raced into third and then supplanted Hedtke for second. Jordan Henkemeyer was fourth, and Ryan Kostreba was fifth when another caution - this time for Russell Kostreba - fell across the field.

Myers was under heavy pressure from Johnson back under green, with Henkemeyer close behind in third. Another caution for a three-car dustup brought the field to a halt.

With 10 laps on the board, Myers continued to feel the heat from Johnson. Henkemeyer remained third, Hedtke was fourth and Ryan Kostreba was fifth. Zach Schultz was spun and the field ground to a stop once more with just three more laps completed and seven left on the board.

Following the restart, Myers held the lead with Henkemeyer and Johnson right on his bumper. Coming down the back chute, contact was made between Henkemeyer and Johnson, as Johnson moved down slightly on the track with Henkemeyer already there. Johnson lost the handle on his No. 1Jr and headed to the back of the pack.

Myers held the lead out front, hugging the bottom of the track, ahead of Henkemeyer in second. Kolby Kiehl worked his way into third ahead of Max Nelson, and Hedtke slipped back into fifth. Denis Czech drove by Hedtke for fifth with three laps to go, moving by Nelson for fourth one lap later.

Myers had a healthy lead by the time he took the checkered flag, with Henkemeyer, Czech, Kiehl, Miller, Nelson, Hedtke and James Trantina in the top eight qualifying positions.

Trantina and ninth-finisher Dexton Koch were in a gambling mood, declining their starting spot gained through the Qualifying Feature and instead planning to try again on Friday. Those accepting their positions included Myers, Henkemeyer, Czech, Kiehl, Miller, Max Nelson, Andrew Hedtke and Doug Koski.

Earlier in the evening, five heat races set the lineup for the Qualifying Feature.

In the first heat race, Curt Myers started fifth and had the lead by the backstretch to complete the first lap. He quickly put distance on the field and led every lap for the victory. Henkemeyer picked his way forward from eighth, taking the runner-up spot during the final turns. Trantina held off William Lund in a drag race to the checkered flag for third.

After a first-lap spin for Justin Tammen, and another caution for a dust-up during the second lap, ninth-starter Max Nelson used the high side to squeeze past several competitors into second in the early stages, and used a slider a lap or two later to gain the lead. Alex Myers displaced Braidyn LaMere for second two turns later and from there, it was a back-and-forth battle of sliders for the lead between Myers and Nelson. Following another caution, the chaos continued, but in the front of the field this time; as the leaders raced three wide down the backstretch, the ensuing pinballing ended with Myers and LaMere stopped with damage and Nelson restored to the lead. When the field returned to green, Nelson drove to the win ahead of Koski and Jayden Friauf in the top three.

A three-wide battle for the lead opened the early laps of heat three, with Ryan Kostreba shaking out into the top spot. Carson Miller moved into second before the halfway point, and then drove by Ryan with three laps to go. After exchanging the lead a couple more times, Miller had the slight advantage at the checkered flag. Russell Kostreba was third.

Trevor Nelson was the early leader in heat four. Tim Johnson, who started seventh, quickly made his way forward into third behind Josh Schmidt. Following a caution for a spun Alexa Sparby, Johnson used the restart to challenge Nelson for the lead; Nelson outlasted Johnson and took the win. Ninth-starter Andrew Hedtke was third.

In the fifth heat race, Czech started from the front row and after a side-by-side battle for the lead, he pulled away from Schultz to score the win. Kiehl completed the top three.
