Haben, Hedtke, Leiker and Tourville top fair night festivities at Madison Speedway
MADISON, MN (September 13) - The WISSOTA Dirt Track Series was once again part of the Lac Qui Parle county fair on Sunday at Madison Speedway. Brian Haben, Andrew Hedtke, Tony Leiker and Keith Tourville scored victories at the western Minnesota oval.
Haben led flag to flag for the victory in the WISSOTA Modified main event. He led by as much as 2 seconds ahead of Mike Stearns, who climbed to second in the opening laps. Despite a late restart, Haben hung on for the victory ahead of Stearns, Nate Heinrich, Cole Shake, and Maria Broksieck.
Andrew Hedtke (Track Photo)
Hedtke took the lead early in the WISSOTA Super Stock main event, and quickly distanced himself from the rest of the pack. Karter Reents ran second much of the race, until seventh-starter Trevor Nelson found his way by with just a few laps to go. Hedtke was gone out front, however, and crossed the finish line nearly 2.5 seconds ahead of Nelson. Reents held on for third with Brayden Hedtke fourth and Jayden Friauf fifth.
Leiker dominated the WISSOTA Midwest Modified main event - opening a lead of more than 9 seconds before a late-race caution. The Gillette, WY traveler powered away after the restart, and added this triumph to his 2003 Late Model Challenge Series victory at the oval. Scott Tofte rallied from seventh to finish second ahead of ninth-starter Jake Wranek, Jake Molitor and 13th-starter Tim Kanten.

Tourville took the lead on lap two and led the rest of the way for the WISSOTA Street Stock main event victory. Levi Randt worked his way into second in the early laps, and gave chase to Tourville, staying within a half second of the leader, but could not slip past to steal the win. Justin Vogel finished third with Maria Broksieck fourth and Zachary Flickinger fifth.
Brady Hagen notched the victory in Pure Stock competition.
