Caspers, Berger and Graff grab some Greenbush gold Saturday night at the Race Park
By Daniel Wiskow
GREENBUSH, MN (August 2) - Greenbush Race Park held the Byfuglien Memorial on a beautiful Saturday evening. With the backdrop of sunshine, warm temps, and a perfectly groomed track, WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Connor Graff, Jerome Berger and Dusty Caspers.
The WISSOTA Street Stocks were led to green by Chris Dudley and Jerome Berger. In a race that saw multiple exchanges of positions and contact among competitors, Berger had his car tuned perfectly. He was able to gain at least a car length on each of the restarts, as John Halvorson looked to make a pass for the lead. He was side by side with Berger before the yellow flag came out for a spun car.
When the field went back to green, Berger wisely changed his line and was able to pull away slightly for the victory. Halvorson hung on to finish second, while Jeremy Gust and Chad Hagen were the remaining finishers in the field.

The Byfuglien Memorial for the WISSOTA Pure Stocks was the headlining race of the night. Keifer Kainz and Aaron Sigerud sat on the front row and after the green flag waved, Dusty Caspers passed several cars on his way to the lead.
A little farther back in the pack Mason Scholin, Kainz, and Kade Leeper were battling for a chance at a podium finish. Caspers built a large lead out front and his consistency behind the wheel took him to victory lane along a very slick race track. Leeper was second, followed by Scholin, Dustin Puffe, and Kainz in the top five.

Carter Matthews and Connor Graff led the field of WISSOTA Midwest Mods to the green for their feature. Graff took the immediate lead while behind him a great race among Cylen Vargason, Ashley Boyum, and Taylor Jacobson broke out for top-five spots. Going three wide into and exiting the corner at times made it an entertaining feature for the fans.
Justin Olson soon joined to make it a five-car battle for position. Jacobson and Boyum were in a fierce battle for second in the late stages of the race, which allowed Olson to enter the race for top-three spots. The top-runners caught Graff as they took the white flag and when the checkers waved, Graff narrowly beat Jacobson, who finished second. Olson was third followed closely by Boyum and Vargason.
In the Four Cylinder class, Nick McCann took home the checkered flag for another win, while Cory Nelson, Gabriel Espe, Jayme Gordon and Troy Foster completed the top five.
Dexter Dvergsten was the winner in the Lightning Sprint feature, grabbing the victory ahead of Hayden Koehmstedt, Dylan Langevin, Emmitt Isane and Hunter Bugge in the top five.
