Chernosky & Shelley stay hot at Thunder City while Bellefeuille, Bolt and Owen outrun competition as well

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO (August 19) - Jody Bellefeuille, Cole Chernosky, Michael Shalley, Jimmy Owen, and Kyle Bolt were winners Wednesday night at Thunder City Speedway, as the track hosted another night of WISSOTA Dirt Track Series racing at the Thunder Bay-area race track.

Bellefeuille worked his way forward from sixth on the grid at the start of the WISSOTA Modified feature and raced into the lead by lap eight. From there, he worked to about a second advantage at the finish, taking the checkered flag ahead of 10th-starter David Simpson, whose charge ended in second. Eighth-starter Cole Chernosky improved five spots to third, 11th-starter Scott McKinnon was fourth, and Curtis Stieh was fifth.

Chernosky led from start to finish in WISSOTA Super Stock feature to collect the checkered flag ahead of Nathan Roy, who improved four spots to second in the 20-lapper. Danny Young worked from eighth to third at the finish, while Larry Both was fourth. Rick Simpson charged from 15th on the starting grid to grind it out for a top-five finish.

Shalley made sure to make the most of his front-row start in the WISSOTA Midwest Mods, taking the checkered flag ahead of seventh-starter David Simpson, who finished second. Matthew Mitchell, 11th-starter Kolby Reed and Tanner Ulakovic completed the top five.

Bolt moved to the lead in the WISSOTA Street Stock feature with just a handful of laps in the books. Levi Randt set chase but ended up more than 4 seconds back at the finish. AJ Kellar, Nathan Henny and Brendan Makkinga completed the top five.

Owen worked his way forward from the fourth row in the WISSOTA Hornets to grab the lead the final lap by a scant .028 seconds ahead of Jesse Owen in second. Martin Bolt was third, Selena Owen was fourth, and Rick Breukelman rounded out the top five.
