Jeff Tardy: 1975-2025

HIBBING, MN - Jeffrey Guy Tardy, 49, of Hibbing, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at his residence of natural causes.

He was born on September 9, 1975, in Grand Rapids, MN.

Jeff is survived by his boys Carson and Riddick Tardy, who he loved dearly. Mother: Lori (Helmer) Sikkila and Russ Sikkila; siblings: John (Stephanie) Tardy, Lori (Bay) Shock, JR (Heather) Tardy, Eric (Alicia) Tardy. His memory lives on with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Loran and Diane Tardy, and grandparents Al and Bernice Tardy and Ambrose and "Tudy" Helmer.

Jeff was a graduate of Chisholm High School class of 1994. He worked most of his career for the State of Minnesota and Hibbing Taconite Company. His hobbies included spending time with Carson and Riddick, hunting, fishing and racing stock car at numerous tracks. He was blessed to have the love and support of the racing community and fans. His legacy will live on in many hearts.

A memorial gathering for friends and family to honor Jeff was held on August 10 at Tom and Jerry’s in Chisholm.
