GRAND RAPIDS, MN (July 17) - Grand Rapids Speedway held a regular Thursday night of racing July 17 with the WISSOTA Hornets, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, and Modifieds on the docket, as well as the Northern Renegades in attendance.

WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Blake Adams, Curt Myers, Joey Jensen, Austin Carlson and Nick Ruzich.

In the WISSOTA Pure Stocks, Austin Carlson was the early leader from his front-row starting spot. Carlson narrowly led each lap with Dustin Puffe and Jake Smith right behind, bumper to bumper. A caution around mid race did not deter Carlson, who drove away to a healthy advantage at the finish. He was followed to the checkered flag by Smith, Puffe, Michael Hawkins and Bob Klein in the top five.

Joey Jensen (Jennifer Tomczyk Photo)

Jensen was the early leader of the WISSOTA Midwest Mod feature, driving out to a large advantage in the many attempts at a start to the feature. Restarting single-file, Jensen immediately drove away out front. With a half-lap advantage at the finish, Jensen took the victory ahead of seventh-starter Sam Blevins, eighth-starter Michael Blevins, Sr., Adams and Eric Anderson in the top five.

Fifth-starter Curt Myers snaked his way through to the front of the pack to lead lap one in the WISSOTA Super Stocks. Over the next several laps he added to his advantage ahead of Cameron LaBelle and Dalton Carlson. Contact was made with about eight laps to go between Tristan LaBarge and Carlson as they came into turn four; LaBarge was sent to the back of the pack for the incident.

Back out front, Myers drove away from the field once again, staying dominant to the checkered flag. LaBelle, Carlson, Andy LaBarge and Matt Sparby were top-five finishers.

Blake Adams (Jennifer Tomczyk Photo)

Adams started outside of the second row in the WISSOTA Modified feature and was the leader by lap two; he split Mervin Castle III and Nick Oreskovich to take the top spot. Farther back Bob Broking was charging through the field, taking third from his sixth starting spot with 11 laps to go, and driving past Castle for second a handful of laps later.

Out front Adams was dominant, taking the victory ahead of Broking, Castle, Tyler Kintner and Oreskovich in the top five.

Nick Ruzich (Jennifer Tomczyk Photo)

In the WISSOTA Hornets, Tristen McLynn was the early leader. Nick Ruzich got by around lap six, and narrowly hung on for the victory ahead of McLynn, who made a white-flag push that came up just short. Brady Fosso was third, Russell Kiker, Jr. was fourth and Mikayla LaBarge completed the top five.

In the Northern Renegade feature, Chris Lewis came out on top ahead of K.C. Hawkinson, Paul Schultz, Danny Wait, Jr., and 12th-starter Tyler Wass in the top five.
