Leiker beats up Mid Mod field at Border Clash and Neumiller knocks off Mod Fours at Gillette
GILLETTE, WY (July18) - Troy Leiker posted up in victory lane at Gillette Thunder Speedway Saturday night, as the track hosted the Border Clash special for the WISSOTA Midwest Mods.
Adam Neumiller was also a WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winner in the Mod Fours.
Leiker started inside the second row for the 20-lap Midwest Mod headliner and had the lead by the end of the first lap. From there, he led the field for the remaining 19 laps and took home the big money, a little more than 1 second ahead of brother Tony. Jake Bosch, Danny Allen and Ty Miller were top-five finishers.

In the WISSOTA Mod Fours, Neumiller made the pass for the lead with about two to go and pulled away to a 1 second lead at the checkered flag ahead of 10th-starter John Smith, who finished second. Fifteenth-starter Brody Grenz improved 12 spots during the 15-lapper to finish with the final podium spot. Lila Jacobson drove from 12th to fourth at the finish, and Devin Wolter completed the top five.
In the track’s other action, Darran Conrad (IMCA Modifieds), Joe Renfro (IMCA Sport Compacts), and Joel Magee (IMCA Hobby Stocks) left Gillette with the hardware.
