BEMIDJI, MN (June 15) - Bemidji Speedway highlighted “Women in Motorsports” Sunday night. The 14 ladies who race at the track and those who work in various positions around the track were honored, and all ladies in attendance received discounted admission. It was also Father’s Day, and all the dads were recognized in the opening prayer and thanked for their support.

The pits were packed with 109 cars, and a near full grandstand of excited fans was ready to cheer on their favorite drivers.

WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Josh Beaulieu, Nic Lewis, Dean Eggebraaten, Ashton Schwinn, Dustin Puffe, and Russell Kiker, Jr.

Seventeen WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds were on hand, with Dean Eggebraaten on the pole and Mikey Blevins to his right. Eggebraaten powered to the lead with Mikey Blevins, Skyler Smith, Sam Blevins and Mike Blevins trailing in the top five.

Several cautions for spins slowed the action, with Eggebraaten holding on to his lead with each restart. Furious action back in the pack featured two- and three-wide battles throughout the race. Eggebraaten, making his return to racing after sitting out 2024, was fast and in control from the start picking up his first win of the new season and a clean sweep on the night. Sam Blevins, Mikey Blevins, Mike Blevins and Smith completed the top five.

Dustin Puffe (Lisa Rhen Photo)

Nineteen WISSOTA Pure Stocks rolled out of turn four and down the front straight to the green flag, waved by flagman Lynn Johnson. Aaron Bitker was the early leader ahead of Alex Berg, Dustin Puffe, Austin Carlson and Josh Bitker in the top five. After a tangle, Carlson was sent tailback for a restart.

On the restart, Puffe worked his way past Berg for second. Following another caution, Berg was sent tailback. Puffe again worked his magic and took over the lead with Aaron Bitker, Jake Smith, Josh Bitker and Chris Dudley now in the top five back under green. The battle was on with Kade Leeper, who was on the move from his fourth row start into the top five. Smith caught and passed Aaron Bitker for second. Meanwhile, the battle for third, fourth and fifth continued among Leeper, Dudley and Carlson, who worked his way from the back of the pack into the top five. Puffe took the checkered flag and finished his night with a clean sweep. Smith, Leeper, Dudley and Carlson rounded out the top five.

Mateja Dreyer and Mikayla LaBarge led the WISSOTA Hornet field of 17 cars to the green flag. Russell Kiker, Jr. moved from third into the lead, followed by Dreyer, Brady Fosso, LaBarge, and Travis Olafson in the top five. Cautions slowed the action, with numerous drivers involved. Racing single file, Kiker fought off challengers to pick up a clean sweep for his efforts. Fosso, Eric Pfundt, LaBarge and Olafson completed the top five.

Josh Beaulieu (Lisa Rhen Photo)

Jeff Reed and Josh Beaulieu led the field down the front straight for the start of the WISSOTA Modified feature, with Reed taking the early lead after a side-by-side battle with Beaulieu. The leaders were followed by Blake Ferris, Bryce Borgen and Tanner Williamson in the top five. Ferris and Borgen dueled side by side for third, with Borgen gaining the advantage.

Following a caution for newcomer Peyton Emerson, Reed, Beaulieu, Borgen, Williamson and Ferris raced in line. Beaulieu, making his initial appearance at the track this year, challenged Reed door to door; he powered to the lead down the backstretch and raced away for his first win of the new season and a clean sweep. Reed, Williamson, Borgen and Ferris trailed in the top five.

Ashton Schwinn (Lisa Rhen Photo)

The WISSOTA Mod Fours rolled down the front straight with Ashton Schwinn and Patrick Specht in row one. Schwinn blasted to the lead with Specht, Blake Erickson, Connor Bruss and Chad Erlandson in the top five.

The field quickly spread out around the track with exceptional speed. A couple of cautions slowed the action, but did not change the lead positions, as Schwinn beat the field to the checkered flag for another clean sweep. Specht, Erickson, Bruss and Erlandson finished in the top five.

Nic Lewis (Lisa Rhen Photo)

Nic Lewis was the early leader in the WISSOTA Super Stock feature. Brandon Bahr, Dalton Carlson, Cameron LaBelle and Andy LaBarge chased in the top five. Dylan Nelson, who started in row four, worked his way into a side-by-side duel with LaBarge. Following a caution he took over fifth. On the restart Carlson passed Bahr for second and began to chase Lewis. Several side-by-side races and three-wide battles provided great racing action for the fans. Out front, Lewis was not to be denied in his quest for his first win of 2025; he raced to victory and completed his clean sweep of the night. Carlson, Nelson, Bahr, and LaBelle rounded out the top five.

In the track’s Mini Stock feature, Nick McCann powered up from his third row start into the lead followed by Justin Honer, Cameron Schwinn, Conrad Schwinn and Troy Foster in the top five after three laps. Hayden Engen worked his way into the top five from the middle of the pack. Conrad Schwinn passed Honer and his son, Cameron, to gain second. McCann held his lead and picked up the clean sweep for his efforts.
