Heinzerling, Ferguson & Hardesty have the hot hand Friday at Black Hills Speedway

RAPID CITY, SD (June 12) - Black Hills Speedway hosted another evening of WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action at the half-mile on Friday night. Matt Heinzerling picked up his first win of the season at the track, while Leonard Ferguson continued his dominance, and Kyle Hardesty collected his second win at the oval this season.

Heinzerling started third in the WISSOTA Midwest Modified main event, but quickly worked his way to the top spot and ran away from the pack for the feature win. Brennan Davis charged from seventh to finish second ahead of Paul Parks, Scott Tyrrell and Rex Conrad in the top five.

Hardesty picked up the WISSOTA Mod Four feature win after starting in the third row; he advanced into the top spot a handful of laps into the race, and held on for the win. Rob Arlaud sliced his way from ninth to second with Devin Wolter third, Urijah Welch fourth and Khi Jackson fifth.

Ferguson won his fourth WISSOTA Street Stock feature of the season in five contested races. He started seventh on the grid, and picked his way to the top spot near the halfway mark of the 12-lap race. He survived a final challenge from Warren Pourier, Jr. to take the win by just .141 seconds at the stripe. Jaren Puhlman was third ahead of Cole Phillips and Les Cuny.

In other action at the speedway, Joel McGee remained undefeated in Hobby Stock action, Kade Bahr topped IMCA Modified competition, and Mike Pennel scored the 360 Sprint victory.
