Nightly awards announced for 2024 Late Model Challenge Series competitors

The Structural Buildings WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series — powered by Momentum Truck Group, Freightliner, Western Star — is welcoming several sponsors on board for the 2024 series awards, distributed nightly for driver’s accomplishments.

Wehrs Machine & Racing Products, located in Bangor, Wisconsin, has been named the official Hard Charger Award sponsor for the Challenge Series. Wehrs Machine will offer $100 cash to the night’s feature race hard charger.

MyRacePass, located in Lincoln, Nebraska, has come on board as the Pole Award sponsor. The driver who earns the most passing points and the pole at each series race in 2024 will earn the MyRacePass Pole Award and a $100 cash bonus for being the highest in passing points and earning the pole at each series event. Featuring entry lists, live timing and scoring, lineups, results, point standings, news, directions, historical data and contact information, MyRacePass is your one-stop shop for all things Challenge Series.

Collins Brothers Towing, located in St. Cloud, Minnesota, is sponsoring this season’s Long Tow Award. The driver who tows the farthest to each series race in 2024 will earn the Collins Bros. Towing Long Tow Award and a $100 cash bonus to help with fuel costs to and from the track. A driver is only allowed to win the Long Tow Award once per weekend.

Hiller Auction Inc., located in Zimmerman, Minnesota, is sponsoring this year’s Fast Time Award. The driver who turns the fastest lap of the night in qualifying at each series race in 2024 will earn the Hiller Auction Quick Qualifier and a $100 cash bonus for being the fastest driver to start each series event.

Olsen Custom Farms (OCF), located in Hendricks, Minnesota, will be giving a hand up to those drivers suffering tough luck while on the series in 2024. The driver who has the worst luck at each series race in 2024 will earn the OCF Hard Luck Award and a $100 cash bonus with hope to help offset the costs of keeping the car on the track for the next series event.

And finally, GTX, Garage-Tech X-treme is back on board as the Rookie of the Race sponsor. The Rooke of the Race is bestowed upon the highest finishing Late Model rookie in the feature race, at each Challenge Series event in 2024. they will earn a $100 cash bonus and, new this year, a point fund for the top three rookies at season’s end has been established, with a $1,000 bonus earmarked for the highest finishing series rookie after the final event on the schedule. Second and third place in the rookie chase will also receive an extra cash bonus at season’s end of $750 and $500, respectively. Drivers must compete in a minimum of 75 percent of completed series events to be eligible for the year-end point fund.

Fans and drivers will be able to pick out who the rookies are by noticing a GTX Rookie sticker on each rookie competitor at each of the 21 series races this season.
