Troftgruben, Vargason & Greseth get opening night nods at Devils Lake Speedway

CRARY, ND (May 2) - Brody Troftgruben, Cylen Vargason and Cole Greseth struck first blood in WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action Saturday, May 2 at Devils Lake Speedway.

Troftgruben started from the front row, took the lead from the start and led from flag to flag for his first victory of the year. Dustin Strand improved three spots to take home runner-up honors, while Joey Pederson was third. Travis Robertson and Kelsi Pederson completed the top five.

Vargason was also a race-long leader in the WISSOTA Midwest Mods, jetting to the win ahead of Brennan Schmidt, Zander Compson, Colin Dietzler and Casey Jenkins in the top five.

Greseth won his second-straight feature for the weekend in the WISSOTA Street Stocks, garnering the feature win following his victory Friday night in Aberdeen. Greg Jose, Tate Bullis, Shane Swenson and Adam Dehne rounded out the top five.

In the track’s Pure Stock class Trentin Decoteau claimed the victory.
