Broking, Crapser, Stuart, Adams, Carlson and Fosso are the first winners of 2026 at Grand Rapids Speedway

GRAND RAPIDS, MN (May 20) - Johnny Broking, Cory Crapser, Steve Stuart, Blake Adams, Austin Carlson and Brady Fosso put their names down in the record books at Grand Rapids Speedway as they became the first winners of the 2026 season Thursday night.

Broking topped the WISSOTA Late Model feature, as he picked his way forward from his sixth starting spot. He got by race leader Skeeter Estey around the halfway point of the feature and drove on to the victory. Kyle Peterlin showed early season dominance as he climbed from 16th on the starting grid to finish as runner-up. Estey, Billy Kendall and Zach Wohlers completed the top five.

In the WISSOTA Modifieds, Cory Crapser used a restart to get under leader Bob Broking for the lead; he then drove off to the checkered flag. Broking, who survived contact with Blake Adams as the initial green flag dropped over the field, was second. Ryan Jensen, Lance Schilling and Devyn Weleski rounded out the top five.

Steve Stuart continued his early season dominance as he took home the top honors by a full straightaway in the WISSOTA Super Stocks. Dalton Carlson, Dylan Nelson, Tyler Kintner and Andy LaBarge were top-five finishers.

Adams led from start to finish in the WISSOTA Midwest Mods, but did have challenges throughout: first, from Paul Ripley, and then from ninth-starter Eric Anderson. Adams hung tough, however, and scored the victory. Anderson, Justin Jones, Sam Blevins and Mikey Blevins completed the top five.

Carlson was victorious in the WISSOTA Pure Stocks over a small field. Dylan Elhardt and Bob Klein were the remaining finishers on track at the finish.

In the WISSOTA Hornets, Fosso started inside the second row, had the lead before the conclusion of the first lap and continued on to the checkered flag. Tucker Smith, McKenna Folstad, Asher Tuttle and Jacob Petrich completed the top five.
