Berger, Harmon and Asmus are the first winners of 2026 season at Casper Speedway

CASPER, WY (May 8) - Casper Speedway welcomed in the 2026 racing season Friday, as the Wyoming race track hosted three WISSOTA Dirt Track Series classes for opening night, including the Midwest Mods, Mod Fours and Street Stocks.

Winners in sanctioned action included Mario Berger, Kholin Harmon and Glenn Asmus.

Berger started from the pole in the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature, jetting to the victory ahead of Anthony Berger and Jake Bosch on the podium. Shawn Reed and Randy Thomas were top-five finishers.

In the WISSOTA Street Stocks, Harmon started from outside the second row and came out on top of front-row starter Chris Uroszek and Braxxton Harmon, of the three finishers in the feature.

Asmus was victorious over a small field of WISSOTA Mod Fours, with Steve Schicketanz in second and Paige Asmus Cordova third.

Other winners at the speedway Friday included Marc Hammond (IMCA Sport Compacts), Russ Dalgarn (IMCA Hobby Stocks), Jason Schierkolk (IMCA Modifieds), Matt Brown (Rocky Mtn. Hard Tops) and Cody Coker (Mini Stocks).
