OGILVIE, MN (April 19) – Saturday night 119 drivers checked in for a night of WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action to start the 2025 race season at Wagamon’s Ogilvie Raceway.

The night featured all six regular classes, great racing, and it was also the first KME Late Model Series point night. Winners in sanctioned action included Tyler Peterson, Jody Bellefeuille, Denis Czech, Joey Jensen, Levi Randt, and Anthony Jenson.

The WISSOTA Street Stocks kicked off the features, as Andrew Hanson edged out to the early lead. Weston Ramsrud began to battle Hanson in a door-to-door war, before Hanson began to stretch the lead.

Laps passed without incident and as Hanson established a 3 second lead, he suffered a mechanical problem and coasted to a stop. The caution flew and drivers were reset with Ramsrud in the lead followed by Austin Hamre and Levi Randt.

Following the restart, Randt, Hamre and Jeff Ekdahl kept pressure on Ramsrud, as Randt made the pass for the lead. Randt took the checkered flags, followed by Ekdahl, Ramsrud, Hamre and Sam Fankhauser in the top five.

Denis Czech and Dylan Kromschroeder led the WISSOTA Super Stocks to the green, with Czech grabbing the immediate lead. Kromschroeder held second as Ryan Kostreba and Dustin Nelson fought for third. Shane Sabraski was close behind, as Joey Jensen also joined the battle.

Following a caution, Czech brought the drivers back to green with Nelson, Sabraski, Jensen and Kostreba very close in the top five. A couple of cautions slowed the field, but Denis Czech was unfazed out front. He drove on to the win ahead of Sabraski, Jensen, Kromschroeder and James Trantina in the top five.

Ashton Schulte and Haley Dykhoff sped off from row one to begin the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature. Schulte settled into the lead as David Swearingen took second. Schulte and Swearingen quickly caught the back of the pack, and Swearingen took the lead as they raced their way through lapped traffic. Jason VandeKamp made his way into second and then challenged Swearingen for the lead; VandeKamp secured the position and put distance on the field. Swearingen and Dykhoff battled for second, before Swearingen dropped back a couple spots. Dykhoff held second, as Jensen moved into third before one final yellow.

Back under green, only three laps remained as VandeKamp felt the heat from Dykhoff and Jensen, and they raced three wide. The white waved with VandeKamp and Jensen nose to nose, and as they shot down the front chute, only 0.014 seconds was the difference at the checkered flag. Jensen grabbed the exciting win, while Jason VandeKamp settled for second. Tyler Vernon, Haley Dykhoff and David Swearingen were top-five finishers.

Jack Koranda and Josh Zimpel remained door to door during the opening lap of the WISSOTA Late Model feature, with Tyler Peterson in third. Koranda secured the top point and pulled away, as Peterson began to heavily pressure Zimpel. Peterson and Zimpel closed the gap to Koranda, and the top three drivers were three wide and swapped for lead, before Peterson was able to secure it.
