Fourth annual Speedway Motors MPH Invitational returns to Granite City Motor Park September 11-12
ST. CLOUD — The WISSOTA Promoter's Association is excited to announce the Speedway Motors WISSOTA MPH Invitational will return to Granite City Motor Park in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, September 11-12, 2026. Building on the successes of the 2025 event, Granite City Motor Park will host the event in 2026 and beyond as part of a multi-year, ongoing partnership between WISSOTA and GCMP.
In a cooperative effort, WISSOTA staff and Granite City management are currently in the initial planning stages and are exploring several new ideas for this year’s event.
This invitational race will feature the WISSOTA Mod Four, WISSOTA Pure Stock, and WISSOTA Hornet classes as it has for the past three seasons.
As plans are finalized, details will be made available to the public, but for now, fans and drivers should make plans to be at Granite City Motor Park September 11-12 for the always-entertaining Speedway Motors WISSOTA MPH Invitational.
Although the 2025 event was plagued with less than cooperative weather, it was an overall great event. Fans on hand witnessed wins by Keith Thell (Mod Fours), Jake Smith (Pure Stocks) and Anthony Jensen (Hornets), as they each raced to their first Speedway Motors WISSOTA MPH titles.
The event was previously held at Bemidji Speedway in Bemidji, MN in 2023 and 2024. Previous winners included:
WISSOTA Mod Fours: Tommy Pogones (2023) and Dustin Holtquist (2024)
WISSOTA Pure Stocks: Dustin Puffe (2023) and Brent Mindock (2024)
WISSOTA Hornets: Jenna Hagemann (2023 and 2024)
