Racers, families & fans celebrate the conclusion of the 2025 season at WISSOTA’s banquet

ST. CLOUD, MN (November 8) - The River’s Edge Convention Center once again welcomed about 700 WISSOTA racers, family and friends to the organization’s annual national awards banquet, as those gathered celebrated the many accomplishments of fellow racers from the 2025 season. Prior to dinner, an invocation was given by announcer Kyle Hall.

WISSOTA general manager Nikki Cook took a moment following dinner to reflect upon the previous year and the great loss of Billy Engelstad, who died in November of 2024.

She then welcomed WISSOTA partners on hand for the gathering, including Hoosier Tire, Hoosier Tire North, Speedway Motors, Structural Buildings, EngineQuest and MyRacePass.

Special awards were then given for the WISSOTA Promotion of the Year, the WISSOTA Strong Award, and the Award of Excellence. The 2025 Promotion of the Year was awarded to FYE Motorsports’ Scott Engfer Memorial Gopher State Showdown. The Award of Excellence was given to Big Sky Speedway, while the WISSOTA Strong Award was given to ABC Raceway.

Cook then introduced the WISSOTA Wall of Honor, to be in place at the WISSOTA offices in St. Cloud, featuring those figures who have a lasting impact on the WISSOTA organization but have since passed away. Those first honorees included Engelstad, Terry Voeltz and Scott Engfer. The Engelstad and Engfer families were on hand to accept the plaque, while Jason Schaunaman accepted the honor for the Voeltz family.

Hall and Jacy Norgaard were introduced to the crowd by emcee Jason Schaunaman and kept everyone entertained with a live version of Hall’s “Between Two Turns,” before introducing Denis Czech as a co-emcee for the program and beginning the official ceremonies.

The DRC.tv Street Stock Tour top 10 was honored on stage first for the evening. They included (10th to champion): Nick Traynor, Ashley Wampler, Tony Miller, Sam Fankhauser, Hunter Carter, Jeff Ekdahl, Levi Randt, Andrew Hanson, Justin Vogel and Kyle Dykhoff.

The WISSOTA Challenge Series top 10 (left to right, back row to front row): Kevin Eder (3rd), Devin Fouquette (7th), sponsor Trevor Stewart, Joel Bennett (5th), Gunner Frank (6th), Candie Frank; Jeff Provinzino (4th), Shane Sabraski (2nd), Dave Mass (Champion), and Structural Buildings’ Chad Stewart.

The top 10 drivers in the Structural Buildings WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series were next honored on stage by Structural Buildings owner Chad Stewart and included (10th to champion): Todd Frank, Zach Johnson, Cole Searing, Devin Fouquette, Gunner Frank, Joel Bennett, Jeff Provinzino, Kevin Eder, Shane Sabraski and Structural Buildings WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series winner, Dave Mass. Devin Fouquette was also honored as the series Rookie of the Year.

Shane Sabraski was then honored for his 1,000th-win season, with a special trophy given to him for his career efforts.

The 2025 Speedway Motors WISSOTA 100 winners received special recognition next by way of their jackets and bean bag boards. They included: Chad Becker (Late Models); Ryan Gierke (Modifieds); Shane Sabraski (Super Stocks); Nick Koehler (Midwest Mods); and Jim Gullikson (Street Stocks).

The MPH 100 winners from September were also honored, including: Anthony Jenson (Hornets), Jake Smith (Pure Stocks), and Keith Thell (Mod Fours).

WISSOTA 100 and MPH 100 Champions on hand included (holding jackets, left to right): Shane Sabraski, Anthony Jenson, Jake Smith and Ryan Gierke. Sponsor Speedway Motors was also on hand, represented by Scott Angell.

The State Champions in all of the divisions were then brought on stage and acknowledged. They included:

Canada: Selena Owen, AJ Kellar, Tyler Vernon, Cole Chernosky, Brandon Copp and Scott Greer.

Minnesota: Anthony Jenson, Dustin Puffe, Ashton Schwinn, Kolton Brauer, Joey Jensen, Shane Sabraski (x2) and Kyle Peterlin.

Montana: Robert Petroff, Mario Berger, Jon Tribble and Ty Hample.

North Dakota: Cole Greseth, Jory Berg, Tyler Peterson and Dustin Strand.

South Dakota: Christian Kast, Dean Larson, Maria Broksieck, Todd Stark, Trevor Nelson, Mike Stearns and Chad Becker.

Wisconsin: Carson Gotelaere, Eric Crosby, Cole Richards, Nick Koehler, Terran Spacek, Blake Adams and James Giossi.

Wyoming: Steve Schicketanz, Ken Harmon and Tony Leiker.

WISSOTA Rookies of the Year included (left to right, back row to front row): Coltyn Schuler, Trent Keller, Dawson Oelrich, Dylan Helget, William Lange; Tommy Bawden, Blake Adams, Kyle Anderson and Devin Fouquette.

The 2025 WISSOTA Rookies of the Year were then brought on stage. Devin Fouquette (Late Models), Blake Adams (Modifieds), Tommy Bawden (Super Stocks), Kyle Anderson (Midwest Mods), Coltyn Schuler and Trent Keller (Street Stocks), Dawson Oelrich (Mod Fours), Dylan Helget (Pure Stocks), and William Lange (Hornets) were all honored for first-year accomplishments in their respective classes.

Members of the top 10 in each class were next honored, and included:

Hornets (10th - second): Selena Owen, William Lange, Spencer Smith, McKenna Folstad, Christian Kast, Bobie Arnes, Russell Kiker, Jr., Brady Fosso and Jeff Rohner.

Pure Stocks (10th - second): Mason Smith, Alex Berg, Austin Fencl, Kade Leeper, Shane Basina, Aaron Bernick, Austin Carlson, Eric Crosby and Jake Smith.

Mod Fours (10th - second): Tristan Torres, Chad Funt, Rowan Tramm, Robert Holtquist, Tyler Larson, Brett Konst, Clint Jensen, Ashton Schwinn and Dean Larson.

Street Stocks (10th - second): Maria Broksieck, Tommy Pogones, Justin Vogel, Robert Petroff, Levi Randt, AJ Keller, Kyle Dykhoff, Trey Hess and Cole Greseth.

Midwest Modifieds (10th - second): Landyn Randt, Austin Hunter, Ryan Flaten, Mario Berger, Troy Leiker, David Simpson, Tony Leiker, Blake Adams and Joey Jensen.

Super Stocks (10th - second): Terran Spacek, Alex Myers, Joey Jensen, Dalton Carlson, Dylan Nelson, Trevor Nelson, Rick Simpson, Dexton Koch, and Curt Myers.

Modifieds (10th - second): Tanner Williamson, Nate Heinrich, Ryan Gierke, Cole Chernosky, Joseph Thomas, Mike Stearns, Brandon Copp, Jody Bellefeuille, and Shane Sabraski.

Late Models (10th - second): Jeff Massingill, Jeff Provinzino, Cole Schill, Kyle Peterlin, Kevin Burdick, Dave Mass, Shane Sabraski, Chad Becker, and Dustin Strand.

And finally, following the recognition of the top nine in each class, the eight champions were honored respectively, and given the opportunity to thank their families, pit crews and sponsors and discuss their seasons. The 2025 WISSOTA champions included: Tyler Peterson (Late Models); Blake Adams (Modifieds); Shane Sabraski (Super Stocks); Tyler Vernon (Midwest Modifieds); Kolton Brauer (Street Stocks); Dustin Holtquist (Mod Fours); Dustin Puffe (Pure Stocks); and Anthony Jenson (Hornets).
