Adams and Pogones chop down Redwood rivals in Midwest Mods and Street Stocks

REDWOOD FALLS, MN (September 29) - Blake Adams and Tommy Pogones nailed down WISSOTA Dirt Track Series wins Sunday, September 29 at Redwood Speedway. The classes were part of the final program at the speedway, located in Redwood Falls, MN, for the 2024 season.

Adams started inside the second row of the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature, garnering the lead around lap nine and crossing under the checkered flag ahead of polesitter Justin Bjorklund in second. Jason Hobbs, Jaden Gannott and Randy Klein were top-five finishers.

In the WISSOTA Street Stocks, Pogones got by into the lead following the first lap, before Kolton Brauer drove past on lap six. It was a back-and-forth fight for first from there, with the leaders making contact along the frontstretch and Brauer spinning into turn one. Brauer retired from the event and Pogones drove on to the win. Dustin Schultz was the other finisher in the short field.

The track hosted several other classes for its championship night, and winners included Brandon Beckendorf (IMCA Modifieds), Matthew Looft (IMCA Sport Mods), Ken Tietz (IMCA Stock Cars), and Cory Probst (IMCA Hobby Stocks).
